Cyprus for writers

We have had a holiday in Paphos, Cyprus this summer, I have never been before and enjoyed it immensely. I took my notebook and pen but with the heat, humidity and endless opportunities for swimming, I have not been able to enter the right sort of headspace that I need to write. There are lots of places for inspiration, the history there is amazing, especially the mosaics at the archaeological park, the Tomb of the Kings was spectacular too. On the surface just a bunch of rocks, but once you get beneath ground, the sites are wondrous.
